Abstract

The objective of this research is to study
the effect of psychological violence on knowledge
transfer through organizational commitment, particularly for the seniors.
Structural Equation Modelling has enabled the testing
of our hypotheses on data collected from 270 bank
employees working in Tunisia. Our results confirm
that psychological violence (the health dimension)
negatively affects knowledge transfer through
(affective and normative) organizational commitment.
For seniors, the impact of psychological violence is
stronger and the effect on knowledge transfer only
operates through normative commitment.
Our results complete the existing models of knowledge
management by confirming the relevance of including
organizational commitment and psychological
violence. In order to enhance knowledge transfer,
managers are invited to feed commitment and to reduce
psychological violence in their organization.
