Abstract

Immersion is a concept that is rooted in positive
psychology and is currently mobilized in
Management Science by both marketing and
information systems. Considering these researches
and based on the observation that the human
resources management is still not interested in
Immersion as a concept. The authors propose to
consider this concept in workplace situations.
Therefore, a conceptual model is proposed and
a confirmatory empirical study with 311 employees
was conducted. Thanks to the results, a definition
of HRM concept has been given and it shows
a strong link between immersion in a workplace
situation and commitment; however this link is
somewhat moderated depending on the age and
years of experience in the position.
