Abstract

Job seeking behaviors among Gen Y graduates have
rarely been investigated within the literature. This
paper aims to explore the beliefs of these young
graduates seeking their first job. Considering recent
graduates from a top French Business School, we
sought to identify what kind of factors and beliefs
might affect their job seeking behaviors. By using
Ajzen's theory of planned behavior, our study
emphasizes the influence of friends and prestige
seeking as the two main factors predicting job
seeking behaviors among young graduates.
