Abstract

Any process of innovation in the field of science and technology, as in that of cultures and societies,
is based on an incremental approach or as a more drastic approach, leading to an innovation called “disruptive”. In the field of economic and management sciences (EMS), this duality is even more
marked due to the “performativity” of scientific discourse itself. The true innovators, not only using
new concepts and analytical frameworks, and therefore start from a position called heterodox, but
must feel, over a significant period, across multiple forms and validation methods, what we call “sustainable heterodoxy.” Scientists routes of James March and Elinor Ostrom correspond to this situation.
