This article aims to better understand the relationship between emotional competencies and the leader's style. In order to explore this dynamic, we mobilized Mikolajczak and his colleagues' (2023) research on emotional competencies. Thus, our questions will focus on the role of leaders' emotional competencies in shaping their leadership style. How do leaders' emotional competencies contribute to shape their leadership style? To answer our research question, we used a qualitative methodology. To this end, we conducted 50 semi-structured interviews with business leaders. Our findings propose an empirical definition of emotional leadership and underline tree major facets of the emotional leaders. These results also allowed us to identify several key action levers for emotional leaders, as they help to ensure that employees adhere to their vision.
