Abstract

The integrative conception of corporate social responsibility offers a structural unity between the goals of the
company and those of its stakeholders. Yet, the idea that taking into account the goals of stakeholders guarantees a higher performance is still to be proven. Aristotle’s writings allow us to settle the conditions of such
a causal bond. Man is naturally social, hence his finality is the good of the society as a whole. It is, therefore,
thanks to others’ mediation that he reaches his natural finality: happiness. This makes us think that, a priori,
the company performs more when taking into account the goals of its stakeholders.
