This work aims to understand the mobilization of employees and help managers and human resources practitioners to better apprehend this phenomenon. It was carried out as part of an action research in a French company, a subsidiary of a major world oil group. To interpret the observed object, we used the Social Exchange Theory as the main analytical framework. The results reveal that the mobilization of human resources is a complex phenomenon, with multiple sources, probably compensatory and multiplying.
