Abstract

This article focuses on the future of the organizational careers in the context of breaking the traditional social contract. The objective is to improve our understanding of the expectations of employees in relation to their careers in order to provide a new reading grid for companies which encounter difficulties in recruiting and retaining their employees. Through an innovative approach which is based 58 interviews, 183 questionnaires and 1 focus group, we results to the development of 5 possible scenarios. The latter highlight a numer of expectations on the part of employees, which are all opportunities to renegotiate the social contract.
