The reign of the end A metaphysics of management

Abstract

The managerialization of the world is presented here under the angle of the pan-organizational movement that designates the double movement of the becoming-world of organizations and the becoming-organization of the world. A return to cybernetics, a place of thematization of the category of organization, allows us to inscribe management in the history of metaphysics as the reign of the end: the diktat of functional purpose signifies the end of the being as a total presence, as parousia. It is on the basis of these introductory developments that the end of history, the end of politics, the end of works, and the end of the world are then considered in turn.
