Internal mobility The end of a model?

The purpose of this exploratory research is to question the future of internal mobility in large organizations. Based on the analysis of fifty-two semi-structured interviews and two participant observations carried out in two large French companies with high stakes in terms of internal mobility, AutoForm and Société Générale, this research highlights the tensions and ambiguities that internal mobility encounters in its implementation. Through neo-institutionalist theory, we explain the obstacles surrounding internal mobility and then question its future within large organizations.
