The state in stalemate. The employment crisis in the interior regions of post-revolutionary Tunisia

This article highlights the outcomes stemming from a survey focused on
employment policies in post-revolutionary Tunisia. In particular the inquiry investigates views of stakeholders involved in occupational integration’s dynamics. On
the basis of a territorial approach surveys were conducted in marginalized areas
of Jbeniana, Kasserine and Siliana. By analyzing the system of actors involved in
the creation of employment and the complexity of local configurations of labor
markets, this article investigates the failure of a public policy, namely the lack of
socio-economic integration of young people in three traditional paths: the public
service, the private sector and the entrepreneurship
