Performance’s determinants of a regional Purchasing grouP of drugs and medical devices

Abstract

The pooling of hospital purchases recommended by regulators to generate budgetary savings (PHARE 2011) led to the development of regional hospital purchasing groups (RHPG). The aim of our study is to determine the components of the performance of the inter-organizational collective action generated by these groups in exploring and confronting the expectations of different stakeholders (SH). The SH and Balanced Scorecard approach can constitute an analytical performance model of hospital purchasing groups. This model has been mobilized to study the determinants of the performance of the regional purchasing group of drugs and medical devices, called Garonne.
