The weaving activities in the Moroccan hinterlands is undergoing profound
changes because of its commodification and internationalization. The
network of actors involved grows and tends to be more and more specialized,
by playing a role of “translation” in the sense of the actor-network theory.
This is done to the detriment of women weavers who are in a situation of
greater dependency.
