The methodological approach adopted takes up surveys carried out with farmers located in different rural areas. These latters were invited to answer questions relating mainly to modes of access to land, water, trees, etc. involving institutional and private actors. Interview guides and questionnaires were used for the 250 direct and repeated interviews with some of them, carried out over a period from 2010 to 2018, with updates in 2024. The main results obtained highlight the desire displayed by farmers to position themselves as development actors in their own right. Positioning claimed thanks to the learning acquired throughout their professional trajectory.
