Algeria and NATO : Shared interests

Abstract

This article analyses the Algeria-NATO relationship. It aims to demonstrate that despite its late adhesion Algeria is became an active partner in the Mediterranean Dialogue benefitting from the expertise and several dimensions of cooperation with NATO in particular formation. Besides it stresses on the absence of incidence of the contreversing questions on the bilateral cooperation. It examines the problematic of – oversized – fight against terrorism and intelligence sharing questioning the perspective of the relation and emphasizing the lack of an Algerian long term strategy.
