The ecotourism sector has the highest rate of development in the world.
It includes various activities such as hiking, cycling, climbing and other
survival activities (Santarém, Silva et Santos, 2015). Ecological tourism is
the subject of various projects and visions in Tunisia in order to strengthen
the attractiveness of the country and preserve the resources and well-being
of Tunisians. The purpose of this study is to understand hiking-tourist
behavior by exploring their motivations, quality of life, subjective well-being,
and behavioral intentions after a hiking trip. A mixed-method of qualitative
and quantitative analysis was applied to test the theoretical and empirical
evidence of relationships among the four constructs and to provide useful
information for decision-makers about the activity in Tunisia.
