Abstract

Dignity and respect for human beings from their conception, whether they have or have legal personality, are affirmed in article 16 of the CivilB Code, inserted in chapter II entitled “Respect for the human body” of the title Idu book 1 which states that "the law ensures the primacy of the person, prohibits any attack on the dignity of this one and guarantees the respect of the human being from the beginning of life". This legal provision, introduced by law n ° 94-653 of July 29, 1994 relating to respect for the human body1, is the only one tending to give a status or a semblance of status to the embryo.
