Abstract

The law to modernize our health system adopted on January 26, 2016 enshrines several provisions relating to health data.1 On the one hand, the law extends the scope of professional secrecy by institutionalizing the sharing of patient information by the DMP 2; on the other hand, it creates open and secure access to health data for the benefit of the community.
