Big data in health is generated by connected objects (sports coaching, pedometer, smart scale, up to the therapeutic assistance robot, etc.), mobile applications, online communities and the multiplication of interfaces navigation (personal computer, tablet, mobile phone). This digital explosion generates an unprecedented mass of personal data whose legal regime is not homogeneous: on the one hand, health data has a strict protection regime (consumption of a drug, data appearing in the medical file). stricto sensu), on the other hand, welfare data is devoid of a legal definition and therefore of a specific legal status.
