Abstract

Today, barely 1 to 3% of positions of political responsibility having an impact on the entire population (and not only on people with disabilities) in Europe are occupied by people with disabilities. While there are a few rare exceptions, such as Germany's finance minister, Wolfgang Schäube (paraplegic), the vast majority of political decisions in our local communities, in our institutions or at the societal level, take place in the context of meetings with which marked citizens by a disability do not participate
