Design of a phosphate-based set retarder from hahotoe-Kpogame, togo

Abstract

This article aims to design a set retarding admixture of Portlandcement CPJ-CEM II / A 35. The tests were carried out onmortars additived by products and mixes thereof such as EDTA,oxalic acid, phosphate, NPK, urea, sodium citrate, starch, ash,chloride sodium and potassium chloride. The test results wereevaluated using the criteria and index of efficiency. They led tothe proposal of the retarder made of mixtures of Hahotoe-Kpogamé phosphate with EDTA, NPK, oxalic acid and sodiumcitrate.
