SEARCH FOR AXIAL INERTIA MOMENTS OF THE SUPPORT OF AN ELEVATED TANK WITH FRAME STAGING
Abstract
We propose in this paper a method for assessing the inertia moments of the support of an elevated tank, placed on a frame staging. This analytical method is inspired by the basic rela-tions of the strength of materials relating to the analysis of the plane sections characteristics. For the amateur reader of graphic solutions, he will find, in the second part of the paper, an approach for the evaluation of the axial inertia moments with respect to the axes of the global reference of the support, inspired by the circle of inertia, also called Mohr’s circle. To illustrate the presented methods of calculation, a practical example is presented at the end of the article
