Proposal of a new concrete buildingstructures

Abstract

The objective of this work is the valorization of crushedsand which is very little used in the building sector.In this study, crushed sand is used to formulate a fineconcrete where it will be its only granular component.The article describes the proportioning of six sandconcretemixeswith local crushed sand. It also presentstheresults of mechanical tests to investigate the performanceof these mixes and to study the possibility of their use forthe structural elements of buildings. Studies have shownthat this material has satisfactory mechanical propertiesfor cement content between 350 kg/m3and 400 kg/m3.
