OFFSHORE: FPU (FLOATINGPRODUCTION UNITS) IN CONCRETE INSPECTION AND MONITORING PLAN OF THE BARGE NKP (N'KOSSAPRODUCTION, CONGO)

Abstract

n order to develop N’Kossa field in Congo, TOTAL oper-ates a floating unit NKP in prestressed concrete since1996. This FPU is unique in oil&gas industry withHeldrum Tension Leg Platform. This concrete barge is partof Floating Units Integrity Management System (FUIMS)of TOTAL and shall be inspected and monitored to full fillall requirements. This assessment is based on concretedamages done or expected.This paper addresses the mains results of concrete inspec-tions and the tentative of monitoring plan that TOTALwould like to implement in the future.
