Abstract

Biskra region which is situated southeast Algeria asanother region of the Algerian territory, has in recent yearsexperienced a great evolution in the field of construction, despite these developments, degradation problems remainconcerned people in the field, because most buildings agedunder 20 suffered damage mainly due to corrosion. It isnecessary to note that this problem affected constructionsof various types: equipment, housing, bridges. The exper-tise of reinforced concrete structures in this region showedthat the poor durability of concrete structures is due tomany influencing factors which differ according to the typeof structure and its surrounding environment. In order tounderstand the durability of concrete, we must study itsbehavior to a number of mechanisms that degrades, including the phenomenon of corrosion. This work is tomake a diagnosis or investigating several types of struc-tures (bridges, buildings, etc.) To collect as much informa-tion on the works of the damaged region beginning with adetailed visual inspection for: recognize the nature of thedisorders, describe their location, analyze progress, andidentify the main causes to finally arrive to collect the fac-tors influencing the degradation of reinforced concretestructures in the study area, and assess the frequency ofinfluence each factor on the evolution of reinforcementcorrosion.
