THERMO PHYSICAL CHARACTERIZATIONAND THERMAL MONITORING OF TWORESIDENCES MADE OF COMPRESSEDEARTH BLOCS
Abstract
The revival of earth construction can constitute an efficientresponse for the reduction of the environmental impacts relatedthe building area. If, the mechanical performances of thecompressed earth block (CEB) are proven, nevertheless theirthermals qualities remain to be quantified. The objective of thiswork is to develop and quantify these performances in winter andsummer season. The National Center of research and studiesintegrated built and instrumented in the formwork of a researchproject two residences made of CEB, in order to describe theirthermal behaviour of summer and winter and this, under aclimatic request external representative of the Northern area ofthe country. This study required to set up a chain of metrology forthe collection of in situ measurements. In this article, thebehaviour of these constructions is described and the parametersof thermal inertia of the wall are determined.
