CHARACTERIZATION OF THE VARIABILITY OFTHE PERFORMANCES OF CONCRETES.APPLICATION TO THE DURABILITY OFSTRUCTURES

Abstract

The APPLET project aims to propose a quantification of thevariability of the properties of structural concrete and to take itinto account in probabilistic approaches this for a betterevaluation of the durability of structures. This determination ofthe variability of various concretes is the subject of anexperimental program with a significant number of testsallowing the characterization of indicators of durability or testsrelated to durability. The option retained by the project is the characterization of thevariability of concretes implemented in industrial conditions.For that the project profits from the support of VinciConstruction France for the supply of the samples. Two buildingsites regularly provide to the various participants samples for therealization of their tests. The formulations of the two concretes selected are representativeof the formulations usually used today in construction.
