An institutional perspective
Abstract
The so-called institutional theory highlights that an institution is constrained by its social, political, economic, legal and technological environment to which it conforms to guarantee its legitimacy and sustainability. The environment or the context is therefore essential in the more or less strong institutionalization of practices by actors who agree to adhere to them, to conform to standards and to follow rules, more or less passively, without calling them into question. . This theory seems to lend itself well to the study of internal and external influences undergone by organizations.Published
