Coherence, integration informational and change: outline of a program from research Integrated Software Management

Abstract

Identifying some research perspectives on ERP, four visions of these pro-
jects are presented. They build on the representations of the actors of these
changes in businesses :

a deterministic vision based on the necessity to industrialize and to exter-
nalize the production of software of the firms ;

an engineering vision of a homogeneous and consistent information
system ;

an emergent, yet very conflictual, vision due to the lack of perceived lee-
way of the top management and to the difficulty to forecast the impacts
on work ;

an emergent vision in a teleological process, where actors try to take ad-
vantage of some effects of the technology that they feel they have some
control over.
