The status of the embryo has not ceased to evolve in our minds since we are able to see it, examine it in detail, determine its normality and skills and especially since we are able to to take care of it inutero. The embryo and the fetus have become patients. But not quite like the others. Because too sick, we have the right to interrupt their lives, an active euthanasia which is not possible in other branches of medicine. The DPN, then the DPI, have profoundly changed the idea that everyone can think of what the human embryo is.
