Because death is one of the greatest existential challenges of life, palliative care requires collaboration between all those involved, medical, social and family. From the experience of this complex reality, it is possible to learn a few things about the persistent difficulty, in the cultural and social context of the Maghreb, in announcing the fatal diagnosis and letting medical intervention be “guided” by the attitude of the patient or of his family.
