Global health research constitutes a driving force to achieve health justice andhealth equity in several countries around the world and more specifically inglobal South. However, these research raise significant ethical challenges. Wehave conducted a pilot study with researchers from Benin to better understandchallenges associated with power asymmetry in global health research. the studyhighlights the complexity of the social context in which power asymmetry arisesand the way it evolves. Moreover, it reveals the vulnerability of researchers whoare working in such environments, where they are exposed to critical conditionsthat could affect the research process and jeopardize their moral values. finally, these results suggest that there are innovative approaches coming fromresearchers facing these constraints.
