Abstract

The doctor's obligation to provide information is intended to enable the patient to express his consent in a free and informed manner and to be an actor in the care relationship. It is with this objective in mind that the Kouchner law of March 4, 2002 has rethought, based in particular on case law, the patient's right to information by specifying the various modalities.
