Information, a fundamental right of the patient?

The recently ratified Convention [1], known as Oviedo, stipulates (art. 5) that the person to undergo an intervention "in the field of health", "receives in advance adequate information as to the purpose and nature of the intervention. as well as with regard to its consequences and risks ”. The UNESCO Universal Declaration "on bioethics and human rights" adopted on October 19, 2005 [2] provides consent to medical intervention with sufficient information (art. 6 § 1), and it is of the common law medical act (preventive, diagnostic or therapeutic), the act of research meeting the rest of the same requirements [3]. Article L. 1111-4 CSP, included in a Title relating to the rights of sick people and users of the health system, seeks informed consent from the person. Didn't the Prince of the Line write that the more enlightened we are, the less light we have? Article L. 1111-2 lays down the principle of information on the state of health, with some reservations
