Formerly, the world was closed, vertical and hierarchical. Person who held theknowledge and information held power. Today, the emergence of informationtechnology and communication illustrated by the media and the development of theinternet change the game. now, a new balance of power is imposed on us, that of aconsumer society where information assets grow at the expense of social ties. in thiscontext, we are led to ask questions about the transformation of society vis-à-vis theinformation. a communications society focused on human values such as sharing andexchange it should not replace our consumption-oriented society of information at all costs? This helps to reflect on the ethical framework for the communication ofinformation and distinguish between the terms of exchange and sharing when they arerelated to information. Ultimately, this modernization “technology” for the use of datacannot be achieved without a thought and modernization “ethics” of the disclosure.
