Respect for human life finds its highest expression in the love which unites a mother and her child, and the law fully recognizes this. Abortion is a difficult and painful decision on a moral level. Although we do not have reliable data that allow us to measure this phenomenon, we can undoubtedly say that some women subsequently regret the choice they made to give up the newborn that they had generated and protected. . This regret can lead to severe depression and loss of self-esteem
