Abstract

Ethics have become a major concern of modern societies in order to respond to public fears regarding the development of technologies whose risks are not sufficiently known and controlled. As such, it occupies a central place in the debate concerning nanotechnologies, to such an extent that some see them as unprecedented ethical questions that require specific examination under the banner of a new branch of labioethics called "nanoethics" 1.
