Abstract

Public health systems in Africa are facing real challenges, one of which is the implementation of a quality transfusion policy. In Côte d'Ivoire and for various reasons, we are witnessing recurring shortages of blood bags, contamination, blood trafficking and a relative lack of integrity and transparency within the blood supply chains. As for Quebec, although the transfusion chain is very efficient, the question of ethical responsibilities, dependent on the legal environment.
