Abstract

The political question of the isolation of dependent elderly people during the first phase of confinement during the Covid-2019 epidemic, and this in the name of the principle of protection of life, brings us many questions of diferent natures:
a. the reality of our human finitude, and of our “chiaroscuro” life paths, between solitude and solidarity,
b. aging as a criterion of vulnerability to covid-2019,
c. the need for a reflection in mixed sciences on the medical and political decision-making processes in a context of health and        social emergency.
