Abstract

Can we talk about old age without talking about death? After having tabooed, it seems that we also want to end old age. In view of a social perception of old age persons, which have become shameful and which we forget in the hospices, it became advisable to combat aging, this biological process which degrades us. And why not reverse it or at least slow it down and wait for post-humanism to open the way to eternity? And when we will wake up from our illusions, we may discover that our society has become that of aging, which leads to mistreatment in the field of health and social relationships and the weakening of the role of «seniors» as well as in the functioning of democracy.
