This symposium was held on May 30 and 31, 2024, on the Jourdan campus of the École normale supérieure in Paris, at the initiative of the PROVIRCAP research team ("Professionals of the virtue of capitalism: CSR as perceived by its managers"), whose work is funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR) between 2021 and 2025. While Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is most often studied from the perspective of discourse and instruments, the PROVIRCAP project offers a unique perspective on “responsible capitalism” by studying its managers, their activities, and professional environments.
