Abstract

This article analyzes the feminization of the governing bodies of companies private: executive committees and boards of directors. It shows that the exercise of power within these bodies consists in carrying out political action, with a hidden or discreet side, "behind the scenes", and a public face, during official meetings, “the arenas”. This action presupposes resources, which are more difficult to access by women, and makes their position in these instances more complex and vulnerable.
