REGULATION AND SECTOR DEVELOPMENT IN HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE: THE CASE OF BRAZIL
Abstract
Around the world, the idea of a mixed model combining competition within the market and state supervision has developed. In this sense, regulatory systems are gaining in importance in the pursuit of sustainable economic growth. Brazil, like many emerging countries, had to overcome the scarcity of available resources in the face of to a huge need for investments in various sectors of the economy.
