Abstract

From 16 to 18 June 1923, the city of Bordeaux saw an influx of artisans from all over the country who came to participate in the ‘Grand National Congress of French Crafts’ organised by the newly formed General Confederation of French Crafts (CGAF) in the grand amphitheatre of the Athénée. For the occasion, the trade union organisation published various documents, including the leaflet presented here, which was aimed more specifically at artisans from the Gironde basin and the south-west, i.e. those from the region hosting the congress. This document is one of the items in the ‘Crafts Congress’ archive collection held at the Gironde Departmental Archives under reference number 9M56.
