Authors Guideline

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Authors are urged to follow these instructions

The authors send the coordinators 2 files:

- one includes the full text of the article

- the second includes the information (metadata) allowing the indexing of their article.

"Article" file

The texts are submitted in electronic version, in word format → files entitled "Name (s) - First name (s) - title of the notebook".

The file name must not contain accented characters, spaces, punctuation or special characters. It must imperatively include a .doc extension (Word).

The article is preceded by a cover page providing the following information:

Name and First name;

Function, Institution;

Author's discipline (s);

Complete postal address;

Email address;

Title, summary of the article.

Do not use any style sheet or predefined style in Word or OpenOffice. The entire text should be written in Normal style.

Article title and authors

The title is in Times New Roman 14 bold, centered, lowercase except for the initial of the first word, no full stop.

The name of the author (or authors) is in Times New Roman 12, centered, (first name in lowercase except the initial and name in small capital except the initial in large capital).

Under each author, an indication of affiliation: name of the institution and name of the laboratory in Times New Roman 10, italics centered. Then summaries and keywords:

• Summary of the article in French (max. 100 words)

• Keywords (5 to 7 max.): In lower case (except the first letter of proper names), no full stop at the end of the list of keywords, separate the keywords with commas.

• Title of the article in English: in lower case except for the initial of the first word, no full stop.

• Subtitle of the article in English (optional).

• Abstract of the article in English (max. 100 words).

• Keywords in English: same instructions as for keywords in French.

Thank you for ensuring the quality of the translation of the title, the summary and the keywords in English.

Body text

The body of the article should be written in Times New Roman 12, single-spaced, justified.

Insert the first-line indent at the beginning of a paragraph, no line break between paragraphs.

Three levels of the title are allowed; insert a line break before and after each title.

The titles of the parts and sub-parts are numbered as follows:

1. First level title (Times New Roman 12, bold)

1.1. Second level title (Times New Roman 12, bold, italic)

1.1.1. Third level title (Times New Roman 12, italics)

Citations are to be enclosed in double-quotes (""). Long quotes over 4 lines are in quotation marks and indented (Times New Roman 12).

Make sure to insert non-breaking spaces in the numbers (example: 5,897,000), inside the quotation marks ("") and before the double punctuation marks (:;!?% =).

Tables and figures (including diagrams) must be integrated into the body of the text. No text should be placed as a covering (that is to say around the table or the figure). Table cells must not contain paragraph breaks. Tables and figures must include a title entitled "Table n: title of the table" or "Figure n: title of the figure" in increasing numbering. The titles must be placed above the tables and figures and the possible legends are located below. Bibliographic references and notes

Reference to bibliographic references and notes is made only in the text (not in the footnote) with an indication of the name of the author, the date of publication of the work and, possibly of the page (s) ( s) concerned; ex. (Couzinet, 2004, 18) or (Bachimont and Crozat, 2004, 65) or (Souchier et al., 2003, 45) when there are more than two authors.

For any reference and note:

- all the notes are brought back to the bottom of the page and numbered continuously throughout the article. They should be as succinct as possible.

- do not use the Roman numerals for the calls of notes but to imperatively use the Arabic numerals.

- delete paragraph breaks between two notes and within the same note.

Bibliographical references:

When two or more works have been written by an author in the same year, they are differentiated by using alphabetical letters (Nom, 2000a, 2000b).

Bibliographic references are presented at the end of the text, in alphabetical order of author names, without numbering.

Any bibliographic reference cited in the bibliography must have been cited in the article, and vice versa. In the case of a collective work (or article, etc.), all names must be cited. Examples:

They should be inserted in the text like tables. If necessary, the author will be contacted to send a file in a specific format (jpg or other).

Any annexes are located after the bibliography.
