Abstract

We are interested in the setting up of an Economic Intelligence (EI) process in the particular context of a region in France. We are especially working on the clarification of the roles of the differents actors of the EI process. These actors are constrained to use their competences in order to give a better respond to the needs of the decision-maker and the stakes involved in a sector of activities (group of industries relative to a basic product). We have identified these actors as: the decision-maker, the watcher, and the infomediary. We are proposing a study of the roles and the competences of each, in order to deduce their position in a ROEI (a Regional Organization for Economic Intelligence). More precisely, we will analyse the role of the infomediary. The final objective is to propose a system of reference for the competences required of an infomediary.
