Abstract

The World Heritage Convention’s
objectives aim to develop in a sustainable
fashion the World Heritage sites, and to
improve awareness about the exceptionality of these sites. The tourism industry,
through its role in development and communication with the public, is a central
partner to achieve these goals. This study
shows how tourist offices’ communication can help to meet these objectives in
exemplifying good communication practices.
