Musical rhetoric is questioned here in terms belonging to the structural analysis of poetry, on the
basis of proposals found in the work of the Groupe μ. The analysis of Schumann’s Klavierstück
op. 68 n. 30 aims at testing a certain type of investigation that, through the cursive observation of
interrelations between the tonal syntax, the characteristics of the figures and the processes of
repetition, reveals the singular rhetoric of a work.
