For most people, the contemporary musical creation appears in its profusion as devoid of
coherence. Although music today often sets out conflicting or antagonistic aesthetics,
nevertheless it turns out to be as logical and porter of imagination as past musics: in its
building through a systematic display of tonal tradition, it acquires its cohesion; using the
invention of musical variable and ambiguous objects, it demonstrates that music is
everywhere around us if we are able to discover it.
