Abstract

What is considered « music » in a movie always is restricted to the sounds played
by an orchestra. Experimentally, this article invites listening to the movie
soundtrack as a whole with the same keenness of hearing – and the same tools – as
to an electroacoustic or compound music, to identify both its technical and formal
characteristics, and to point out the relations between noise and music, considered
as non-exclusive categories.
